Melbourne, Australia – 3 December 2025

Conserv Brands has completed the acquisition of International Marketing Concepts (IMC), marking another significant milestone in the group’s long-term growth strategy within the Australian promotional products industry. The transaction follows a structured acquisition process that commenced in 2024 and has now formally concluded.

Conserv Brands is the parent company behind several of Australia’s most recognised promotional products businesses, including Arid Zone, PromoShop, Brand Promotions, and Chilli Promotions. The addition of IMC further strengthens the group’s national footprint, client capability, and depth of industry expertise.

Strengthening capability through continuity

The acquisition sees IMC’s established client base and experienced team fully integrated into the Conserv Brands group. Importantly, the transition has been designed to prioritise continuity for clients and staff alike, ensuring relationships, service standards, and institutional knowledge are preserved and enhanced.

IMC has built a strong reputation over two decades, delivering tailored promotional and branded merchandise solutions to a loyal client base across multiple sectors. This legacy aligns closely with Conserv Brands’ own values around long-term partnerships, reliability, and thoughtful brand execution.

Speaking on the decision to sell the business, Peter Smith, former owner of International Marketing Concepts, said the timing felt right after 20 years of building IMC from the ground up.

“After 20 years of building IMC, I decided it was time for my next chapter,” said Smith.

“I chose Conserv Brands because of their suitability to take over our valued client base and their commitment to looking after our staff. It was important to me that the business continued with people who genuinely understand the industry and the relationships that underpin it.”

A strategic fit for long-term growth

For Conserv Brands, the acquisition is a natural extension of its strategy to build scale while maintaining a multi-brand model that allows flexibility, specialisation, and client choice. Each brand within the group retains its own identity and strengths, while benefiting from shared infrastructure, systems, and expertise.

Clive McCorkell, Group CEO of Conserv Brands, said the acquisition reflects the company’s disciplined approach to growth.

“We’re excited to have the IMC business join our group and we wish Peter all the best on his next adventures,” said McCorkell.

“This acquisition aligns with our long-term growth strategy and allows us to serve an expanded customer base with the comprehensive capabilities of our multi-brand platform. IMC brings a strong client heritage and experienced people, which complements our existing brands extremely well.”

He added that Conserv Brands remains focused on sustainable growth rather than rapid consolidation.

“We’re deliberate about how we grow. For us, it’s about fit, culture, and shared values, not just scale. IMC ticks those boxes.”

Benefits for clients and partners

Clients of IMC will continue to receive the same high level of service they are accustomed to, while gaining access to broader resources across the Conserv Brands group. This includes expanded product ranges, enhanced sourcing capability, national logistics support, and deeper expertise across sustainability, compliance, and complex program management.

The acquisition also supports Conserv Brands’ ongoing investment in systems, digital capability, and process improvement, enabling greater efficiency without compromising the personal service that defines the group’s brands.

Looking ahead

With the IMC acquisition complete, Conserv Brands continues to focus on strengthening its position as a leading Australian promotional products group. The business remains committed to supporting its people, clients, and partners through a combination of industry experience, operational excellence, and a clear long-term vision.

Further updates will be shared as the integration progresses and as Conserv Brands continues to invest in its multi-brand platform.
